Program Description:
NEW HAMPSHIRE - His Mansion Ministries
Saturday, March 7 - Saturday, March 14, 2020

Students on this trip will partner with His Mansion Ministries to partake in a life-changing experience. This ministry is a Christ-centered, recovery community located on a 360-acre farm where individuals with a broad range of brokenness (including alcohol, drug and pornography addictions, physical/sexual/emotional trauma, mental health, and eating disorders) come to live, work, and find healing and hope.  His Mansion helps individuals break free from these life controlling behaviors and addictions and intentionally equips them for Christian ministry. Their philosophy of care is “Healing in the Context of Community,” and students will witness the transformative power of God’s love through relationships within that community.

While on site, students will live, worship, and work alongside the residents and staff of His Mansion. Some students may perform tasks required to maintain His Mansion, and some students may work alongside other workers at the ministry. However, all students will build relationship through group counseling sessions and eating meals with the residents. By joining in the daily tasks of running this healing community students will have opportunity to form relationships, and learn from the residents and staff of His Mansion.

Wheaton students must possess the emotional stability to cope with stressful situations and have the flexibility to adapt to ambiguous situations and unmet expectations. Students should be prepared for a challenging week physically and emotionally. Students will interact with brokenness and will likely identify areas of their own life in which they are broken. In addition to this, some labor will be physically intense in the agricultural section of His Mansion. You must understand the physical, mental and emotional requirements of this trip and believe that you are a good fit before signing up.

COST OF TRIP: $450, including a $100 non-refundable deposit due at sign-up (deposit can be paid by cash or check.)
Once you sign-up, you are responsible for the full cost of the trip.

There are 10 spaces available (5 male and 5 female spaces)

This trip is offered through BreakAway Ministry,  a ministry of the Office of Christian Outreach, which is located at the North entrance to the Todd M. Beamer Student Center.
