Saturday, March 7 - Saturday March 14, 2020
In partnership with the Wheaton College IJM chapter, come to Atlanta to learn how communities are addressing issues regarding safe beds for sex trafficking and sexual abuse survivors. Students will spend the beginning part of the week learning and volunteer alongside various organizations around the greater Atlanta area. The second part of the week, students will engage in and facilitate focus group discussions with other community partners and churches to learn how to best advocate for these communities.
Wheaton students must possess the emotional stability to cope with stressful situations and have the flexibility to adapt to ambiguous situations and unmet expectations. You must understand the physical, mental and emotional requirements of this trip and believe that you are a good fit before signing up.
COST OF TRIP: $450, including a $50 non-refundable deposit due at sign-up.
Once you sign-up, you are responsible for the full cost of the trip.
Deposit can be paid by cash, check, or card.
There are 10 spaces available (5 Male and 5 Female).
This trip is offered through BreakAway Ministry, a ministry of the Office of Christian Outreach, which is located at the North entrance to the Todd M. Beamer Student Center.
